A Letter to our Patrons...
After extensive consideration and conversation, Oklahoma Children’s Theatre has made the difficult decision to forgo our regular production season for this upcoming year. This is a reflection of both our commitment to the health and safety of our patrons and staff, as well as the uncertainty of the times. As many of you know, developing and producing live theatre is a multi-month process and we simply cannot commit resources to large productions while long-term restrictions and closures remain uncertain.
Like so many other arts organizations in our community, this year has been extraordinarily difficult, but we remain optimistic about the future. OCT has always been a nimble organization and we look forward to welcoming families to the programs we are working on this year, including Plays in the Park, Homeschool Classes, Young Company Student Productions, and our School Break Camps.
OCT has always maintained that art is an important journey for young minds through its power in building creative thinking, igniting joy, developing empathy, and inspiring confidence. We look forward to welcoming all of our audiences back for OCT’s next chapter when the time is right.
